Cycle route can stay!
Parish councillors stepped back from recommending a ban on cyclists using a popular route. Cllr Keith Bradford highlighted the danger to pedestrians of cyclists using the top of Puckpool sea wall, at Ryde, instead of the recommended route through Puckpool Park and called for a ban to be enforced. But Cllr Piers Thomas said, "Policemen cycle along that section of wall. It is scary to cycle through the Park at night". The parish council will ask for signs advisinf cycling with care.
