Rack and Ruin

Ryde St Johns Road Rail station has been upgraded with a park and ride facility with cycle racks installed on the entrance path.  However two have already been reversed into. Needless to say no bikes have been seen in the cycle park.  (They should have asked CycleWight for advice!)

Signs of the Times
The Island has its first 'millenium' sign as part of the National Cycle network from Sustrans.. The Wootton signpost also shows the red route 22 although this route joining Ryde to Yarmouth through Newport will take 5 years to complete at the present rate of construction.
